* So i made it out here Laie Hawaii all safe and sound... i have a room, i'm accepted to the school, i have met all the girls on the basketball team and i love the coaches. Things are going pretty good out here! I still have to register for some of my classes and figure out which classes will be best for me to take due to the fact that i don't know if i'll be here for more than a semester after i get married in June...- which is still pretty crazy to think about, but i couldn't be more excited! And none of the coaches know yet that i'm gettin married, only about half the team knows. But yeah it's sorta fun having a secret to hide from people. But yeah practices have been going pretty well.. and i'm catching on quick. We had our first conference game last night against a team called Notre Dame de NaMur from Cali and we won 86- 69. We should have won by a lot more cause this team isn't very good.. but we get to play them again tonight at five- and i know they put it on the radio and post stuff online so i think if you just search google for BYU-H radio stations and look for sports stuff maybe it'll pop up.. but for everyone except dean and meg in GA then it's at 10pm your time. There is the 5 hr time difference from here to GA. But, in the game last night i did get to play- i've been playing a 3/4 position cause i'm pretty quick and our head coach Wendy Anae likes to put me at the top of the press with my long arms. But i didn't do much last night but turn the ball over and miss 2 free throws.. but it's all good its my first game back and we'll see what happens tonight!

* But enough of that.. the adventures of hawaii have already begun.. haha. The second day back me and the two other white girls on the team jumped off this cliff called the point- and it's jumping off into these waves which if they are strong enough could be dangerous i konw.. but luckily it wasn't bad.. but I'm a newbie and pulled my legs up too early and did a cannonball into the water from a good 15 or higher foot cliff- so if you haven't seen my pictures on facebook i got a very lovely bruise on the back of my legs that is still there- and it just really makes me laugh when i look at it.

* Adventure number two- i went to my friend Beth Chun's house (who whitney introduced me to from provo) and got to see the whole traditional Kalua pig when you stick a whole pig in the ground over night and then you come back the next afternoon and eat it! it was really good! and i got to eat a lot of other hawaiian dishes like rice pudding which i loved, pumpkin cake stuff which reminded me of carrot cake, blueberry jellow-spectacular!, poi sauce stuff which was gross.. deffinately an acquired taste, these chinese noodles and chicken which was good but with a weird liquidy texture, and i can't remember what else.. but all in all.. was really good and nice of their family to feed me!

* The third adventure was the acctual getting to beth's house that second day and i had to ride the bus... so it was my first time having to ride the bus and i was just going to meet beth half way bc she was at some beach with her sister.. and she lives 30 min away. So she told me the beach name and they all sound the same... so i kept repeating it so i would remember... and got on the bus and i heard the name i was supposed to get off of.. and just right away pulled the string to get off... Well.. i forgot all the other little clues beth said to look for to get off at and i jumped the gun... so i figured i'd start walking... well i was on the phone with pete and then had my new big red bag/purse on one arm.. and a bag of laundary in the other arm.. and just started walking down the street. I walked for probably a good 10 min before i saw this girl i know and her and her husband got me and took me to where beth was.. haha it would have been a LONG walk.. oops! haha

* i'm still new to all this hawaii stuff but it just makes me laugh how rediculous i am. But anyways sorry mine is so much longer than everyone elses... but i knew you wanted stories. But i miss y'all so much! and love you!!! call me as late as you want your time cause i will always be up my time!

* And pete is doing good and will be graduating from the Academy on Jan 11th if any of you want to go to it- it would mean a lot to him. But he is doing great and just about to start up a bball league with spencer and a few other guys so they can dominate all the other teams. But he's lovin life and lovin his web cam we have used it once now.. i just need to get my ethernet cord. welp that's it!love ya!
