John's 1st email from Peru

Peru is an amazing place. I have a letter on the way but it was kind of last minute. I am getting to know the older guys around here a lot better. My room mates are all latino from columbia argentinia and peru so we get a lot of spanish practice. i think i have learned about 4 times as much spanish here than the mtc. it is ridiculous. we eat think and dream spanish. there are only a select people here other than the elders from america that know english. its crazy but i am loving it. the latinos are halarious they are happy 24/7 and i dont see how they can. good thing is they dont like the food here either so i dont feel to bad sometimes. but i have been doin well with the food there is a lot of good stuff, but then again... there is some very interesting things here haha. but i just got the nays letter so im writing them back it was amazing. i have started playing fubol every day know and slowly getting better. the next few feeks should fly by i hear. o ya this saturday richard hinkley is staying here for 2 days, so we get to chill with him. we are all excited for that. it is freakin hot here too. some days are better than others but i havent even used my sheets on my bed, just sleep on top of em thats what everyone does here. very nice campus but no ac in the rooms. but they have them about to be installed so i was tempted to grab one and put it in myself but they wouldnt like that too much, they dont let us print either here so emails cant be too long to me sorry. i am trying to get them to change there minds. alright im goin to write some other people, you should be getting a letter in the next few days. but just letting you know im alive and not wimping out yet!
